My journey at Crescent University has always felt like being at home. Being a part of the department of English made this experience even more special. The three years of learning made me gain knowledge not just about literature but also learn life in a better sense. Crescent is a university that has a dynamic quality of combining people from various departments in the name of a club where we learn how to organize events and learn skills that are needed for our professional lives.


The professional learning from the department of English is what shaped my thoughts and also helped me to accomplish my goals. The department of English helped us to explore our academic lives, which made us organize, present, and proceed with our academic lives. We learned how to make presentations and developed our public speaking skills. Our department conducted various workshops, guest lectures, and theatre learning that helped us to develop professionalism and enrich ourselves in the professional space.


The personal learning from our department of English shaped us to gain knowledge in different ways that include leadership qualities and creative thinking enrichment activities, such as conducting events and showcasing our talents. We were made to break from our comfort zone and explore our talents by participating in various intercollege events and intradepartmental events. We were given an opportunity to develop ourselves by pursuing skill-based learning.


The professors of our department are friendly, encouraging, and great motivators who help us to develop our knowledge in various ways to make our academic lives enriched. Still today, I stay in touch with my professors, who help me in my academic life and also clear doubts and correct our mistakes. Our enlightenment in academic life is only because we had supportive professors who guided and guarded us throughout our academic lives and continue to support us in our careers too.


The events of our department are the best part of academic life. We have a club, CLH (Crescent Literarian Hub), where we conduct events, take up roles in the club, publish a magazine, and develop our knowledge on how to organize an event. Then we also worked on designing brochures, proofreading, and budgeting, which made us develop various skills. We have the event “Shakespeare’s Day,” where we showcase a play of Shakespeare and also conduct various events for the other colleges. This event is the star event of our club that helped us to learn a lot from academic life.


Overall, the department of English is full of learning, growing, and achieving our professional goals, not just academic life but also skilful learning brought into existence. English in a crescent shaped us into who we are today. A big thanks to the department for giving us this opportunity to write about our precious department. Thank you.

Today I am very excited, do you know why it's because of my secret Santa, who gave me alot memorable gift that can never be told in words, but still I attempt to say about it in my blog today.
