Poem to my Role model

Image
This blog is very close to my heart; it's a birthday poem to our professor, Sir Rufus, who stood by us always, guided us, guarded us, and brought joy into us. He's our greatest inspiration, and there are many more adjectives to describe him. Let me make it poetic.  Searching for light among the darkest crowd, Appeared a soul full of brightness and positivity, Man behind our joyous smile and our success, Unblemished heart and never-ending kindness, Enriching our mind and guiding us on the right path, Lessons that resonate with our lives with deeper insights, Reader of not just books but our minds, Uniqueness is the language he teaches us. Flourishing our talents by constantly motivating us. Understanding our unsaid words is his superpower. Serving is the quality he preaches and practices. Rufus sir is an art in the symmetric world. He made things look perfect through imperfections. Humbleness is the adjective that is perfectly matched. He brought in the quality of co...

Cooking

Cooking as a therapy: To me personally, cooking is more of a therapy than a regular activity. Every time I cook my favorite food, I feel so happy and peaceful. Cooking has been the best medicine for all my stressful days. Today, after my first exam, I felt that I should do something to make my mind calm. I just tried making lunch for my family; it's not like a usual day lunch, but I tried something different, and I ended up with the menu for the lunch. The menu for lunch is Mutton Biriyani, Chicken 65, Egg Masala, Raitha, and Brinjal Gravy. When I started, I thought I could not make it all by myself, but I made it possible, and my mom helped me in making it, and after I cooked, everyone was hungry already. They all tasted my biryani and other recipes; they all loved eating the food that I cooked, which made me so happy, and it's what I needed. Cooking is my favorite part, and if I really like someone, I will cook for them, which is my way of showing my love, and today was the h...

Sea

Sea The walk in the sea, The fresh breeze touches me gently. The blue sky is slowly turning dark. It was the evening view. The sea whispered the words of peace. I heard the sound of waves. The rolling waves touched my feet. Shore to sea, the sand stayed still. Healing by the sea and its site, I stood in my solitary, Saw two kids playing, Having built their sand house, That took me back to my childhood days. Walking a little more distance, A child pulled my dress. And wants me to join her hide-and-seek game. Ultimately I'm already playing it with life. Playing with her, I felt my inner child. Bittersweet memories of life, Still, the inner child is alive. I questioned, The waves touched with force. And woke me up from my thoughts, Made me think about the present moments. Long I stood in the sea, No thoughts to leave, Still gotta go, Continue with my goals in life. Bidding farewell to the sea, Hoping to have a day again, I left the sea today...

My journey at Crescent University has always felt like being at home. Being a part of the department of English made this experience even more special. The three years of learning made me gain knowledge not just about literature but also learn life in a better sense. Crescent is a university that has a dynamic quality of combining people from various departments in the name of a club where we learn how to organize events and learn skills that are needed for our professional lives. The professional learning from the department of English is what shaped my thoughts and also helped me to accomplish my goals. The department of English helped us to explore our academic lives, which made us organize, present, and proceed with our academic lives. We learned how to make presentations and developed our public speaking skills. Our department conducted various workshops, guest lectures, and theatre learning that helped us to develop professionalism and enrich ourselves in the professional space. ...

Listening without filters

Listening without filters is one of the most important aspects of today. We have listeners all over, but few listen without filters, and few listen to us through filters. Make sure you listen without filters, which means listening without analyzing their character by their confessions, listening to them without judgments, listening without interrupting them with your stories, listening to them with full attention and involvement. You should make them feel comfortable to tell you anything they feel, listening to them without making points for gossiping. Listening is a skill, and when you start to listen to them, they heal from what they are going through. When they want to talk, just give them your whole self; don't ever try to question them by saying that the mistake is also in your part; instead, say, "Just get over it, and I am here for you." Make them feel valued about themselves. Today we find humans who listen, but ultimately they also judge or even use our confessio...
