Poem, Poet - Passive Opinions Exceeding the Truth of Mankind.

Today's lecture made me to create this definition of Poem and poet, through the path of learning the lyrical ballets by William Wordsworth, we tend the gain who is the real poet is and that made me to bring out a definition on the word poet and poem. There is this strategy applied by the poet were they tend to communicate their thoughts and envoke feelings in us through their writings which makes them to go away from reality and keep exaggeration of simple things which make us to romanticise the simplest things.

This lecture made us to learn who the real poet is, the poet who having a clarity in his thoughts and when he is able to make it in words and envoke the same feelings that he has in him to the people who reads his poetry, poet is a magician because a magician is a cheat who never showed us the real thing behind the trick and in the same way a poet is someone who hides the simplest theme behind the overly exaggerated idea, poets are liars, we have heard this phrase in the song "Kannukku Mai Azhagu," where there this particular line that says the poetry requires a sweet little lies that makes poetry beautiful, "kavithaiku poi Azhagu," and that made me to feel not all poems are made out of a lie and many poems were written with heart that reflects the thoughts of brain and the poem of Robert Frost, "The Road not taken" which conveys that harsh realities of the life, but I do agree to the statement that poets are liarer and poem requires a bit of exaggeration and unreal imagery because we are never happy with reality and always chose the path of fantasy, so in that note poetry is good with unreal and exaggeration and poet can be liarers too.

This topic gave me a clear sense of how poetry makes our thoughts to flow with our words and the best way to express our emotions and feelings are poetry and to grow our emotional values also we require the elements of poetry that would give us the innovation and thoughts that has clarity in it.
