Colourfulness - Word not found ( in dictionary of Zenz culture)

The Introduction

This is thought that triggered my brain during the lecture in today's class, when our professor raised a question, where are those colourful dresses, decoration and so on, I just was stuck their and kept questioning my brain which gave me various answers.

The Idea Of Our Professor

In the core of idea of lecture, the key most issue of today is we tend to adapt to the colours like black and pale shades, which often is addressed as the colour liked by Zenz and colours like red, yellow and other dark colour are often ignored. Also the her lecture had a point of psychology in colour ( tell me your favourite colour, I will tell you about ur personality) these are the points that is mentioned during our lecture. And one question was why are not liking the colour of pink balloon?

My Idea on the topic

The topic had reflected in various ways in my brain and made me recollect the kid in me who enjoyed various shades of colours from the moment I asked for those pretty coloured ballon to seeing ballons in black colour, yeah there was a huge turning that took place, i know that I might sound little away from the current generation thoughts. That is because I have been brought up with the taste of the traditional values and how colours are important in our life, today I find people wearing colours like lavendar, baby pink, cozy black, pleasant white shaded dress but I remember the days I wore the parrot green, kum kum red, tumeric yellow, orange, and I don't know how many of you heard of this kind in colour " vadamali colour" ( Dark purple shade) and I miss those colours till date because when I take a moment to wear these colours people ask me funny questions like, Are you going to some temple for religious occasion ?, Why so outdated ?, Look there is a girl from a village?, question like this make me feel very annoying because I feel happy when I wear these colours and I have grown seeing these colours and yes I love these colours, I think the mindset of people should change and not the colours.

The second most heartbreaking is that the colour of a rainbow,  I really don't understand why people have to represent it for those PRIDE whatever they call it as LGPTQ++++, it represented with colour of rainbow, I am not against your terminology, but I am very much worried because I love rainbow and I picture them when I see them in sky and show it to whoever I see and also make them admire it but now when I show it I see people laughing or showing signs languages to eachother and making fun of the photo of rainbow, the moment I felt so bad on why they laugh or show signs and then remember those days where I fought people getting suprised and very happy by seeing the colours in the sky and the days I ask my father to buy me dresses in rainbow shades and I even noticed rainbow cakes and those colours are so mockery today. I again stress my point that I am never against ur ideology of LGPTQ+++ but I am worried of losing the rainbow colours were people just joke about it and never admire them.

Conclusion

I just want my colours back and to enjoy them without judgement and normalise colours as they are and no connotative meaning for colours, adding on I also find now few colours like blood red which is trending and I so happy that it is getting back it's life and colours are not just shades but they are representations of our culture itself. Don't just go by trend but a little of tradition is worth more than the trend, trend keeps changing but tradition is like an identity, now decide yourself whether you need tradition or trend I mean unauthorised profile or a identity ? . The ball is in your court now.
